8-Bit Style Design Challenge
Introduction:
8-bit you say, what's that? 8-bit has to do with computer processors and video games. It refers to tile and sprite based graphics in design from the great Nintendo breakthrough in the 80's, and which is still adored by many fans out there now. With this 8-bit illustration contest, we've all got a sweet opportunity to revive the good ol' past love for 8-bit and NES!
Opportunity:
Bounty Hunter is working with DESIGNITI (well-known for high-quality products in Asia), providing our space for all you talented creatives to unleash your imagination and create some 8 bit illustration magic. In this 8-bit illustration design contest, every entry will automatically become a consumer good and be open to public preordering. With your design we will manufacture your custom T-shirt or phone case, making your creative ideas instantly come to life.
Eligibility:
Open to everyone. Your entry cannot have been published or submitted to any other contests. Make sure you have the copyright. It will appear on the preordering page after review.
Bonus:
Designers will receive a 10% commission of each sale to help further all future creative endeavors, while giving fans a chance to collect their favorites from the submissions. Once you accumulate up to $34 USD, you can apply to cash out online.
Timeline:
- June 13 - July 15 (Tue) Call for entries
- June 13- July 15 (Tue) Public vote
- July 28 - Winner announcement
- June 13- July 31 (Thu) Preorder period
- Ship preorder products after the event

How to Process:
No limit to number of pieces. You design must include full or part pixelation. Please download the templates here.
Requirements are as follows.

Design with Original_image.ai, background can be white, grey or black. Attach this file with 300dpi under 20MB.

Put you design in Case_preview_image.psd and T-Shirt_preview_image.psd, and export as jpeg files with the size of 920x1200 px under 1MB as preview images for each phone case and t-shirt for everyone to preorder.
