PaperShoot is the newest generation of Toy Cameras, with roots found in Diana and LOMO, previous pioneers in the toy camera industry.

Paper Shoot has all the function and capability of a camera. Additionally, it is entirely eco-friendly. They are made of recycled paper and non toxic chemicals to keep children safe and save our Mother Nature. The paper is laced with the seed coreopsis tinctoria (for the chrysanthium flower). You can bury it in the earth if you are completely done using your camera. Most interestingly, the paper camera design can be switched out and customized as a gift.

Every entry will automatically become a consumer good and be open to public preordering. Creatives receive a 10% sales commission and once you accumulate up to $34 USD, you can apply to cash out online.

Eligibility: 

Open to everyone. Your entry cannot have been published or submitted to any other contests. Make sure you have the copyright. It will appear on the preodering page after review.

Timeline:

• June 16 - Aug 17 (Sun) Call for Entries 
• June 16 - Aug 31 (Sun) Public voting
• Sep 10 (Wed) - Winner Announcement
• June 16 - Aug 31 (Sun) Preorder Period
• After the event, products will be shipped within 4 weeks

 

Evaluation Criteria:

Design Award: Public vote 20% | Creativity 30% | Technique 20% | Visual completion 30%

Award:

• Grand Prize: $2,000 USD and a certificate
• Second Prize: $500 USD and a certificate
• Participation Prize: 10% commission of sales
• Voter Prize x 5: Paper Shoot Camera  

(Voting rule: you can only vote for the same design once a day.)

How to Process:

Submit your entry before Aug 17th (Wed). Requirements are as follows:

1. No specific theme limit but it should be in the direction of a design with a vintage-feel as below (Example 1, Example 2, Example 3, Example 4, Example 5). 

1. Fit the layout of the paper camera (Downloaded here)  

2. Upload a preview image (the front) in JPG format under 20MB (Example)

3. Upload a full image (the front & back) in JPG format under 20MB (Example)

4. Compress Ai file to Zip or Rar and upload it as 70MB or less.

5. Each person can submit a maximum of 10 entries

(if the Ai file is still beyond the limit after compression, use photoshop to make it with the size of 300dpi and output it to the Ai file.)
