I. Brand Introduction

KOPO Metal is a Taiwan based avant-garde brand since 2008, which is known for animal inspired, pure silver, jewelry and accessories. Outstanding craftsmanship and painstaking detail are an essential part of KOPO’s mission. Stylists and celebrities, such as Lady Gaga, are increasingly using KOPO’s products.

      

                                                                                                                    

II. About this Competition 

KOPO Metal has partnered with BountyHunter to launch a competition for new talent. We provide the platform for you to exercise your talent through competition, and the selected entries will become consumer goods which are open to public pre-ordering. Contestants can receive at most 30% sales bonus.

The competition consists of two separate parts: qualification and then the final round. In the qualification round, the organizer will select 10 entries to move on to the next phase. The final will be implemented to decide the winner by overall performance of pre-ordered pieces, judges scores and public votes.

III. Entry criteria

Submission is open to creators all over the world. Anyone who has an interest in design for ring is welcome to participate.Submission must not be previously published, must not have entered other competitions, and must have legitimate copyright. Each participant is limited to 3 submissions.

IV. Specs and Examples

1. Design concept （Inspirational ideas: reality, environment, fun, experimental, cute, etc.)
2. Contain the images of front view, side view and wearing view. It can be present either with the mounting (see example below on the left), or simply the animal’s head (see example below on the right). Make sure to indicate the ring size and scale.

        

3. Ring Measurement Guide

Method 1: Measure the inner diameter of your current ring.
Method 2: Cut a strip of paper or a piece of string with approximately 1 cm long. Wrap the paper or string around the finger tightly to be sized. Measure the length of paper or string. Locate your measurement on the printed chart. 

4. Present in a drawing by hand, digital drawing or other format to fully communicate your design.
5. A 50 word minimum design concept is due at entry. Contestants with the most creative concepts will have an advantage.

VI. Pre-ordering notes

1. Only the selected entries will become consumer goods which are open to public pre-ordering. In order to maintain compatibility with the manufacturing process, the organizer keeps the right of slightly adjusting the design. The organizer will get contestant’s approval when it comes to color and shape.
2. Manufacturing and shipping will take approximately six weeks after the completion of the competition. Any changes are subject to the organizer.
3. The minimum quantity to manufacture is 60 pieces. Otherwise, the organizer will refund all the pre-ordering sales amount.

VII. Evaluation criteria

Qualification round: Image creativity 40% | Visual design 40%| Marketability20%
The final: Pre-orders 40% | Judges’ scores 40% | Public votes 20%

VIII. Awards:

1. First: 30% share of the entry’s sales amount, a certificate and a manufactured product
2. Second: 20% share of the entry’s sales amount and a certificate
3. Third: 10% share of the entry’s sales amount and a certificate
