The Evolution Series

You’ve seen that guy or gal. The bland, immovable fixation on every page you visit on the greater web. Aren’t you about fed up with this lazy process of profile display, that is supposed to be representative of the creative, energetic YOU? Well, this is where we break the mold, together.

We want your experience with BountyHunter to always be excitable, somewhere you can feel expressive. Most importantly, your part here should always be meaningful. Together we're building comfort, development and success. We want your involvement.

This will be the beginning of the all-inclusive, BountyHunter evolution series, building parts of this place that resonate with you. The concept and purpose of this competition affords everyone the greatest opportunity to interact with each other as members of this vibrant community. As with many competitions, all hunters have the chance to put their creativity to work. Yet, with this particular competition, all BountyHunter creatives will have the distinct opportunity to participate in the development and evolution of the site. Let’s get to making our hangout an inviting place to aid creative prosperity.

About

All artists that can contribute to “graphic design” / “character design” / “animation”/ "illustration"
Limited to one entry - two parts (one male and one female) - per person.
There are no limits on style and presentation (not the silhouettes). Write a brief explanation of your entry.
The best work will be redrawn by the BountyHunter design team to finalize execution.

Theme

Recreate the default profile picture option. It makes the most sense to have something that fits the BountyHunter theme. Create something that energizes creativity and speaks to the support of expression.

Specifications

A picture of each character facing forward, on one file (No limitations to the background and size. However, the size should be large enough where all the details can be seen). No limit on appearance or ethnicity. JPG, JPEG, PNG are all accepted file types (winners will need to provide the PSD). Please ensure your work is set to the RGB color version.

Deadlines

Entries due: May 31, 2014 [midnight]
Voting Period: April 29, 2014 to June 3, 2014 [midnight]
Winners Announced: May June 4, 2014 [midnight]

Judging Structure

First phase: members and combined community of member's friends will vote for the top fifteen
Second phase: BountyHunter voting panel will choose the Grand Prize, Second Place, and Third Place from the top fifteen. A voter prize winner will be chosen at random. A selection of someone who voted on a set of Profile Pictures.
The winning entry's set of characters will be used as the option when creating your profile. The second and third may be incorporated in the future.

Creativity: 30% | Profile traits/Abstract: 30% | Techniques: 20% | Visual 20% (overall design)
